Spooky Season Snacks
Here at Portage and Main we LOVE our snacks. With Halloween just around the corner, we wanted to share our top 3 favourite Halloween snacks (besides those mini-chocolate bars) for you and your little ones to enjoy!

Orange Pumpkins

Peel mandarin oranges and add a strawberry top to the centre to make these super cute mini-pumpkins! These can be a fun addition to your kiddo's lunch or enjoyed as a pre-trick-or-treating snack!

Banana Ghosts

Slice a banana in half and peel. Add two chocolate chips as eyes and one as a mouth to your banana. These surprised ghosts make the perfect post-trick-or-treating snack (along with some chocolate of course).

Broken Broomstick Snack Mix

Mix together popcorn, broken pretzels sticks, candy corn, and chocolate candy pieces with melted white chocolate to recreate this yummy snack mix. Add as much or as little chocolate as you please, this recipe is super customizable to fit what you and your kids like best!

Not only are these snacks super yummy, they are also a great way to get your little ones helping out in the kitchen. Whether it's adding the stems to the "Orange Pumpkins" or pouring popcorn into the "Broken Broomstick Snack Mix" , the kitchen can be a great place to develop creativity and confidence!
